Bush takes a look at farming in AP
Hyderabad, Mar 3: US President George W Bush was given a demonstration of Indian farming techniques during his visit to the Acharya N G Ranga Agriculture University (ANGRAU).
He was given a briefing on the methods used by Indian farmers to increase the yields.
Later, during an interaction with Self Help Group (SHG) women, Mr Bush held a child in his hands for a while and freely gave autographs to the eager audience.
He was shown how vegetables, grains and other food items could be preserved in earthen pots for long periods.
The US President watched with awe as craftsman wove a saree with a handloom. He also tried his hand at indegenous implements used for ploughing fields. A Murra buffalo which yielded 12 litre of milk everyday was also shown to him. Later, he was presented with a miniature model of plough.
