Bush surprised over AP's population: YSR

Hyderabad, Mar 3 (UNI) The US President George W Bush was surprised to know about the size of population in Andhra Pradesh, according to Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.

Speaking to newspersons about his interaction with Mr Bush in the helicopter, Dr Reddy said the US President was shocked to know Hyderabad had a population of six million people while the total for the entire state stood at 80 million.

Mr Bush keenly listened to the growth the state achieved over the years and the state government's investment of ten billion dollars in irrigation sector and the additional ten billion proposed.

Dr Reddy said that Mr Bush also enquired about his family and was surprised to know he was a grandfather.

The Chief Minister told Mr Bush that Indians got married at a young age.
