Bush sees products made by women SHGs

Hyderabad, Mar 3 (UNI) US President George W Bush today visited stalls erected by the women Self Help Groups(SHG) and examined the products made by them at the Acharya N G Ranga Agriculture University (ANGRAU) in Rajendra Nagar on the outskirts of the city.

Mr Bush was received by tribal dancers from Khaammam. The US President and the Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, were presented hats made of hay. Ms Rice was presented a colourful saree.

Mr Bush was clad in a blue shirt and black pant and exuded charm as he interacted with the women SHGs.

'Murra', a seven-year-old buffallo born in Haryana and brought up in ANGRAU was waiting to be milked in the presence of Mr Bush, to show how the Indian farmer was getting the maximum yield for his sustanence.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy played the role of the translator as Bush exchanged notes with SHGs.
