Bank manager, employee arrested for taking bribe

Akola, Mar 3 (UNI) Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Malegaon branch manager and another employee of Central Bank of India while they were accepting bribe from a person.

ACB here said an unemployed youth, Ghamrao Shamrao Ghuge, had approached the bank for a loan under the Prime Minister's Rozgar Yojna.

However, branch manager Namdeo Tulshiram Datir demanded Rs 2,000 from him to sanction the loan.

The youth then approached the ACB officials, who laid a trap and caught the manager and another employee red-handed while they were accepting the bribe yesterday.

The duo have been booked under relevant sections of Prevention of Corruption Act, ACB said.
