Air Deccan to connect Chennai with Tuticorin, Hyderabad-Rajamundry

Bangalore, Mar 3 (UNI) India's leading low cost Airliner Air Deccan announced daily schedules between Chennai and Tuticorin and Hyderabad and Rajamundhry from April one.

The Company in a release said the launch of Chennai-Tuticorin flight was delayed due to pending clearances from relevant government authorities. Bookings would open tomorrow for flights between April one and May 31 the company said. It would ply a 48 seater ATR aircraft in the route.

The flight which would take off at Chennai at 0915 hrs will reach Madurai at 1030 hrs and Tuticorin at 1115 hrs. On the return leg it would leave Tuticorin at 1130 hrs and arrive at Chennai at 1255 hrs.

The Hyderabad-Rajamundry flight, in which a 72 seater ATR 72-500 would be deployed, would operate via Vijayawada from April one.

Rajahmundry had never been connected by air ever and Air Deccan would be the first airline to launch flights to Rajahmundry, a place of historic and religious significance. The flight to be operated daily would leave Hyderabad at 0930 hrs reach Rajamundry at 1040 hrs. On the return leg it would leave Rajamundry at 1100 hrs, reach Vijawayada at 1130 hrs and arrive at Hyderabad at 1235 hrs. The schedule subject to approval by relevant government authorities, the release said.
