AGP President confident of winning Assembly election in Assam
Hyderabad, Mar 3: Assam Gana Parishad (AGP) President Brindaban Goswami has expressed confidence that his party would win the Assembly elections in the state scheduled to be held on April 3 and 10, with clear majority.
Addressing the press here yesterday, Mr Goswami said the people of Assam were fed up with the Congress-led UPA Government which had forgotten the welfare of the people of the state and had failed to stop the illegal immigration of Bangladeshis.
Adding that the AGP would raise national problems, including peace talks with the outfits and declaration of flood and erosions in Assam, during the election campaign, he said the AGP would give priority to provide employment to the youth and this issue would be highlighted in the election manifesto.
