Actavis expands its operations in India

Mumbai, Mar 3: Iceland-based pharma major Actavis group has opened new premises for its subsidiary Lotus Labs, at Koramangala in Bangalore.

The new premises with a total area of 3,000 sq metres, will house offices, laboratories and facilities for clinical bio-equivalence studies besides employing about 200-300 personnel in its production plant.

Actavis, the generic drugs company has invested around 20 million Euros in Lotus Labs, an official release here stated.

During the past year, Actavis has greatly expanded its operations in India and has entered into partnership agreements with three Indian pharma companies-- Emcure, Shasun and Orchid, the release added.
