U.S. stocks open lower as retailers disappoint
NEW YORK, Mar 2 (Reuters) U.S. stocks opened lower on Thursday, a day after Nasdaq bounced back, as energy supply threats drove up oil prices and some retailers reported weaker sales.
The Dow Jones industrial average was down 38.34 points, or 0.35 per cent, at 11,015.19. The Standard&Poor's 500 Index was down 4.34 points, or 0.34 per cent, at 1,286.90. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 9.11 points, or 0.39 per cent, at 2,305.53.
