Manmohan, Musharraf leaders of courage and vision: Bush

New Delhi, Mar 2 (UNI) US President George W Bush today praised Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and President Pervez Musharraf as leaders of courage and vision.

Addressing a joint press conference with the Prime Minister here, Mr Bush said India and Pakistan have a historic opportunity to work toward lasting peace, and expressed the hope that the two leaders would do it as they have the vision and courage.

''I encourage them to continue making progress on all issues, including Kashmir,'' he said.

The US President said both the countries were also facing the common threat of terrorism.

He said he would discuss the issue with President Musharraf.

''After all, he has a direct stake in this fight. Four times the terrorists have tried to kill him.'' The call of history is to stand strong in the face of the attacks, he added.
