Major reshuffle of IAS officers in Bihar

Patna, Mar 2 (UNI) The Bihar Government today effected a major reshuffle by transferring 27 IAS officers, with a view to toning up the administrative machinery.

Official sources said here that Agriculture Production Commissioner (APC) K D Sinha (1972 batch) was appointed new member of the Revenue Board, while Transport Commissioner Pancham Lal has been given the additional charge of Administrator of Bihar State Road Transport Corporation.

Mr A K Sinha, holding the post of Secretary in the Minor Irrigation department till now, became new APC of the state.

Mr P K Basu, who was waiting for posting, has been appointed Secretary in the Urban Development department.

Ms Amita Paul, holding the post of Managing Director in Bihar State Cooperative Bank Limited (BSCBL), became Additional member of the Revenue Board, while Mr S S Sharma, formerly Secretary in the Cabinet Coordination department, has been made Additional Finance Commissioner (Resources). He would hold additional charge of Managing Director of BSCBL.

Mr K K Pandey, formerly additional member in the Revenue Board, became new Secretary in the Sugarcane Development department, while Mr A K Chouhan holding the post of Additional Finance Commissioner (Resources) became new Secretary in the Cabinet Coordination department.
