High Court rejects Dilip Kamath's bail plea
Mumbai, Mar 2 (UNI) Bombay High Court today rejected an interim bail application of suspended Assistant Police Inspector Dilip Kamath, accused in the multi-crore fake stamp paper scam in which Abdul Karim Telgi is the prime accused.
Justice V M Kanade rejected bail to Kamath, who had filed the plea on humanitarian grounds that his daughter had suffered burn injuries and since his wife was constantly ill, there is nobody to take care of the girl.
He had prayed that the court grant him bail for an interim period of one month, taking into consideration the family situation.
However, the court held that as he was an accused in a major scam, he could not be granted bail even on humanitarian grounds.
