Hyderabad, Mar 2 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh High Court today allowed a writ petition filed by the State Public Service Commission against the judgement of the administrative tribunal, quashing a state government order reducing the cut off marks for eligibility for the APPSC group one services.

A Division bench comprising Justice J Chalameshwar and Justice M E N Patrudu said the government had the authority to reduce the cut off marks and it did not accord any hostile discrimination against the petitioners.

Refusing to read too much into the reports of leakage of papers for the qualifying test, the bench ruled that the petitioners produce adequate material before the tribunal in support of their claim.

The bench modified the orders of the tribunal partially to that effect.
