Eight killed in UP road accident

Lucknow, Mar 2 (UNI) At least eight people were killed and some others injured after a jeep they were on collided head on with a truck in the Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh late last night.

Police here today said the accident occurred in the Gabhana area, when the jeep carrying a family for a marriage ceremony collided head on with the truck. Most of the deceased belonged to one family.

The accident also left some others injured who have been admitted to the hospital.

The driver of the truck has been arrested, police added.
