Churchill Brothers thrash Simla Young 6-0
Jamshedpur, Mar 2 (UNI) Four goals including a hat-trick by Nigerian striker Odafe Onkeke Okolie helped Churchill Brothers thrash minnows Simla Young of Delhi 6-0 in the ONGC cup second division National Football League match here today.
Despite their defeat against Ever-Ready in the opener, Churchill battered the inexperienced Delhi outfit, unleashing a series of attack with Jotin Singh opening the account in the sixth minute.
However, the day belonged to Okolie, who began his goal scoring spree in the 22nd minute (2-0) and again scored another beauty just before the break to make it 3-0.
Okolie then scored in the 72nd minute (4-0) to score the first hat-trick of the tournament. He struck once again after four minutes into the second half (5-0) with substitue Sujoy Dutta completing the tally (6-0).
Churchill earned three points from two matches along with TFA and Eever-Ready, who settled for a draw in another match played today.
