Call rates at 6.30-6.50 pc; bond prices rise
Mumbai, March 2 (UNI) The call rates closed in the range of repo rate at 6.30-6.50 per cent.
At the one-day repo auction, the Reserve Bank of India injected Rs 995 crore through six bids received at 6.50 per cent rate, as per the data released by the apex bank.
In the second one-day repo auction, RBI injected Rs 290 crore through three bids received.
The central bank absorbed Rs 530 crore through five bids received in one-day reverse repo auction at the rate of 5.50 per cent.
In the call money market, RBI's borrowings and lending on Monday were of Rs 11,288.30 crore each at weighted average rate of 6.52 per cent.
Bond prices were up today by 15 paise.
The actively traded 8.07 per cent 2017 bond price was quoted at Rs 104.90 as compared to last close of Rs 104.75.
