BJYM activists ransack CSO office

Sambalpur, Mar 02: Hundreds of BJP Yuva Morcha activists today ransacked the office of the Civil Supply Officer(CSO), alleging the dubious role of the office in black marketing of kerosene.

District BYJM president Phani Bhusan Mishra, who led the agitation, said the BJP had earlier on many occasions raised the issue but in vain.

No tangible action was taken by the CSO to check the blackmarketing of kerosene, meant for the public Distribution System (PDS).

Peeved over the apathy of the CSO office, the BYJM activists today demonstrated before the CSO office and later ransacked it.

Police said one Inspector from the CSO office had lodged an FIR this evening in connection with the incident.

So far no arrest had been made, police said.
