BJP will wait for official version of agreement

New Delhi, Mar 2 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party said it was not in a hurry to comment on the Indo-US Nuclear agreement clinched by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and US President George Bush today.

"The details of the Agreement were not available to the party as no official version has been released till now. The party will not react on hearsay or speculations, " party spokesman Arun Jaitley said.

He pointed out that the Government had said that Parliament was in session. It had been decided that the Prime Minister would apprise the Parliament first about the details of the Agreement.

"We can also wait and give reaction only after the authentic details were made known," Mr Jaitley said.

On a question about the Left Parties protest against the nuclear deal, he said it showed the internal differences within the UPA and the coalition Government. The Left parties' credibility was at stake. These parties protest on the roads but support the party in Parliament, he added.
