East Baghdad car bomb kills 5 -police

BAGHDAD, Mar 1 (Reuters) A car bomb near a police checkpoint in eastern Baghdad today killed five people and wounded 10, most of them civilians, police said.

The blast was in the mainly Shi'ite New Baghdad district.
