'Dhaba' owner in jail for selling spurious liquor
Badwani (MP), Mar 1 (UNI) A 'dhaba' owner has been sent to jail on charge of selling spurious liquor under the National Security Act, police said today.
SP Dinesh Chandra Sharma said the accused Devandra Singh was presented before District Magistrate Arun Kumar Tiwari yesterday.
The accused, who owned a 'dhaba' in Salikala village, had four cases of selling spurious liquor pending against him. He had surrendered recently due to police pressure.
Police have arrested 10 persons, including Devandra, so far in connection with selling spurious spirit.
Around 15 persons have died after consuming spurious liquor during the last two months.
Devandra has been sent to Indore Central Jail.
