BJP's rail roko in Sundargarh to protest Rail budget
Rourkela, Mar 01 (UNI) The BJP's Sundargarh district unit today resorted to rail roko agitation at various stations in the district protesting against 'negligence' towards tribal dominated Sundergarh in the Railway Budget.
BJP demonstrators squatted on the tracks at Rourkela, Biramitrapur, Chandiposh and Bimlagarh stations for more than an hour in the morning forcing the railway authority to detain some trains at various stations.
Railway sources said the Tapaswini-Puri-Hatia Express was detained at Rourkela Railway Station for half an hour while another passenger train was detained at Biramitrapur station following the agitation.
However,no untoward incident was reported during the rail roko, police said.
