Two killed, four injured as train rams into car
Alappuzha, Feb 27 (UNI) Two people, including a woman were killed and four others, two of them seriously injured, when the car in which they were travelling was hit by the Nethravathy Express at an unmanned railway crossing near Bapu Vaidyar Junction in the district yesterday.
The deceased were identified as Geetha (40) and the car driver Ramachandran (60), both hailing from Mannancherry in the district, police said.
The mishap occurred when they were returning home after attending a temple festival.
The injured, including husband of Geeta were admitted to the Alappuzha Medical College hospital, police added.
