Ten killed, four injured in road accidents in UP

Robertsganj, UP, Feb 27 (UNI) At least ten people, including five women and two minor children, were killed and four injured in two separate accidents in the Sonebhadra district of Uttar Pradesh.

Police said here today that eight people were killed on the spot, following a collision between a truck and jeep late last night near Telgudwa village under Chopan police station.

Four people were injured in the accident, three of whom have been rushed in critical state to neighbouring Varanasi district for treatment, the police added.

Meanwhile, in another accident in the Sonebhadra district, two people, including a woman, were fatally run over by a speeding truck, police said.
