Mother-daughter duo shot dead in UP

Pratapagarh, Feb 27: An aged woman and her young daughter belonging to the minority commmunity have been shot dead by armed assailants in the Jathwara area of this district.

Police said here yesterday that Sirajul (60) and Bushki (25) were murdered in sleep by assailants in the Madhupur Sarai Babu village.

The husband of Sirajul is employed in Pune. Further investigations were on.
