Kendriya Vidyalaya student murdered

New Delhi, Feb 27 (UNI) A 13-year-old student of Kendriya Vidyalaya was today brutally murdered at his Nand Nagri residence in North-East Delhi this evening by three assailants, police said.

Vaibhav Goyal, a student of Class VII in Kendriya Vidyalaya in Vivek Vihar, was found with multiple stab wounds and his neck slashed at his Bank Colony, Harsh Vihar under Nand Nagri police station resident at about 1730 hrs by his neighbour Kusum, according to sources.

Three persons on a motorbike had visited the house a short while before Vaibhav was found lying a pool of blood, said the police, adding that ''old enmity'' could be the reason behind the gruesome murder.

The alleged killer, suspected to be known to the family, reportedly stayed for some time and had tea before leaving.

No one was at home when the incident took place.

His father Anil Goyal, a buisnessman, had gone to Chandigarh and his mother Amita -- a clerk at Syndicate Bank (Nirman Vihar branch) -- was at her office.

His sister Vibha (23), pursuing her CA, was also not at home.
