BPSC staffer missing

Patna, Feb 27 (UNI) A Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) typist has gone missing for the last two days.

Police said today that the typist Shaukat Ali had left his residence for BPSC office on February 24 but did not return and his whereabouts are still unknown.

During investigation, Ali's colleagues told the police that he had left the office around 1700 hours on February 24.

Shaukat Ali is a resident of Mahendru locality under Pirbahore police station of Patna.

Faisul Ali, the typist's son, said the disappearance of his father smacked of some foul play by the officials of the BPSC, who were facing action due to irregularities committed in different competitive examinations conducted by the BPSC.

A case of missing had been registered with Sacivalay Police station in this connection, police added.
