Youth killed four injured in different accidents in HP

Dharamshala, Feb 26 (UNI) A 22-year-old youth was crushed to death and four others injured in different road accidents in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, police said.

The youth, identified as Kamal, was riding a motorcycle when his motorcycle was hit by a speeding truck at Maranda in the district on Friday, killing him on the spot and seriously injuring his cousin, Ganishyam, 21.

Police said the truck driver was absconding after the accident.

Kamal's body has been sent for postmortem, police said, adding that a case has been registered.

In another accident in the district, three people riding a scooter were injured after their vehicle was hit by a car, seriously injuring them.

They have been admitted to the Dr R P Government Medical College and Hospital at Dharamshala, police said.

A case has been registered and investigations were on.
