Tendulkar's cartoon exhibition inaugurated
Kolkata, Feb 26 (UNI) The maiden exhibition of Mangesh Tendulkar's cartoons outside Maharashtra was inaugurated here by renowned film maker Mrinal Sen.
Mr Tendulkar's cartoons, all in colour, are non-political and captionless. They depict human nature and feeling.
''I use art as a refuge to express what I see, what I feel about relationships,'' said Mr Tendulkar, brother of stage personality Vijay Tendulkar.
Explaining his choice of Kolkata as the venue for his first exhibition outside his home state, the 70-year-old cartoonist said, ''Bengal is the cultural capital of India and so it was my first choice.'' UNI SG SK VP0415
