SVU EC extends suspension of Professor

Tirupati, Feb 26 (UNI) The Executive Council (EC) of the Sri Venkateswara University (SVC) has extended the suspension period of Prof Vasantha Kumari, an accused in the sex racket case.

After the expiry of the suspension period, the EC took a decision to this effect at a meeting held at the University here yesterday.

Vasantha Kumari, who was working as Assistant Professor in the Adult Education Department, was arrested by the police on August three last year on charges of immoral trafficking.
