Raj Babbar sticks to his stand on Amar Singh
Agra, Feb 26 (UNI) Film actor-turned-MP Raj Babbar today defended his recent outbursts against the Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Amar Singh which led to his expulsion from the party.
Addressing a public meeting here, Mr Babbar said that he did not lament his expulsion from SP, as he had raised a voice against political corruption and ''brokerism'' by which he stood till date.
''Maine galat ko galat kaha hai aur isliye main sharminda nahin'' (I called space a space and have no regrets), ''he added.
Mr Babbar further criticised Uttar Pradesh Developent Corporation chief Amar Singh for doing nothing for the development of Agra.
''Even the airport and stadium went to Saifai, the native village of Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav,'' he claimed.
''Whatever development took place in Agra was due to my struggle with the government at the Centre for getting due share of funds for the tourist city.'' The SP has forgotten its much touted slogan of morality in politics and hence, it was urgent to comment on it, he asserted.
