Minor raped by step father

Mumbai, Feb 26 (UNI) A 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her step father last night in south-central Mumbai, police sources said today.

The accused, Mohammed Salim Ansari, is absconding. About four-and-half-years ago the victim's mother had married Ansari and they were staying with him at Agripada area, the sources said.

The accused allegedly committed the crime when the girl was fast asleep in her room, according to the sources.

A case of rape has been registered and the police were looking for the accused.
