Jessica case judge, 4 others to take oath as HC judges on Feb 28

New Delhi, Feb 26 (UNI) Additional sessions judge S L Bhayana, who acquitted the nine accused in the Jessica Lall murder case earlier this week, will be administered oath as a judge of the Delhi High Court on Tuesday.

Mr Bhayana will take oath as High Court judge along with four others, including District and Sessions judge S N Dhingra, Additional District and Sessions judges J M Malik and Rewa Khetrapal and Registrar General, Delhi High Court, S N Aggarwal.

While Mr Dhingra and Mr Malik were previously judges at the Tis Hazari courts, Mrs Khetrapal was a judge at the Patiala House court.

The names of Mr Bhayana, along with Mr Dhingra, Mr Malik, Mrs Rewa Khetrapal and Mr Aggarwal for appointment as judges of the Delhi High court, were approved by President A P J Abdul Kalam a few days ago.

Ealier, the judges were to be administered oath on Friday but the oath taking ceremony will now be held on Tuesday.
