Jaya sanctions Rs 50,000 solatium each to eight families
Chennai, Feb 26 (UNI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today sanctioned Rs 50,000 each from the Chief Minister's General Welfare fund to eight bereaved families in the state.
An official press release here said Ms Jayalalithaa expressed her deep condolence to the bereaved families. The solatium would be given to the family members of V Alagesan of Vellore District, A Perumal of Madurai District and C Packrisamy of Nagapattinam District, who were electrocuted recently.
The family members of Yesudas of Tirunelveli district, P Bhaskar of Dindigul, who were killed following a water tank collapse, while K Panneerselvam of Cuddalore, who died of snake bite, Mrs P Rafia of Sivaganga district and S Ramasamy of Erode, killed in a fire mishap, K Sampath and Ramesh of Tiruvotriyur were killed in a poisonus gas leak and A Velusamy of Coimbatore who was killed in a road accident recently, would receive the solatium, the release added.
