Freddie may be tossing up with Dravid at Nagpur
London, Feb 26 (UNI) Inspirational allrounder Andrew Flintoff will take over the helms of England team if injured skipper Michael Vaughan fails to turn up for the toss with Rahul Dravid at Nagpur Test on Tuesday, according to media reports here.
Things have turned from bad to worse for England who have been grappling with all sorts of troubles ever since they arrived in India. After Vaughan's knee injury, England received another bodyblow when lieutenant Marcus Trescothick decided to take a flight back to England citing ''personal reasons''.
And although, the 27-year old allrounder from Lancashire is struggling to find his last summer's touch, 'The Observer' reports that coach Duncan Fletcher has confirmed his name for the top job in absence of Vaughan and Trescothick.
The newspaper also suggest that the only other contender would have been Andrew Strauss, but he was also been afflicted by a dip in form.
However, more problems could be in store for England if Vaughan fails to recover in time as Flintoff intends to return home for the birth of his second child, around the time of the third Test.
