Exports to Wasia touch new heights
Dubai. Feb 26 (UNI) Indian exports to West Asia have risen to 12 billion dollars, according to latest figures, the Arab Businessmen Union (ABU) has said.
It said one of the fastest growing components in Indian's export basket is Information Technology with the six-member Arab Gulf Cooperation Council's share touching the 170 million dollar mark.
The ABU said that Indian investments in Arab states are on the increase in the past few years, and Indian companies have investments in the UAE's Dubai free trade zone of Jabal Ali and Ras al Khaimah and Bahrain.
India, which runs 43 projects in Egypt, ranks 12th among Egypt's major investors with total Indian investments amounting to 330 million dollars.
