Evidence sought into Handwara killings in Kashmir

Srinagar, Feb 26 (UNI) The inquiry commission, probing the killing of four youth, allegedly by the Army at Dodipora in Handwara on February 22, has sought evidence about the incident.

Additional District Magistrate, Kupwara Bashir Ahmed, who is probing the incident, has called upon the interested people to appear before him on any day from tomorrow till March 4.

He has asked the people to be present in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara between 1100 hrs to 1600 hrs on all these days for providing any evidence or statement regarding the killing of the four youth.

The written statements in the shape of duly attested affidavits could also be sent by post till March 4, in case the interested people were not in a position to record their statements in person, he added.
