Corpn Bank biz crosses Rs 52,000 cr

Tirupati, Feb 25 (UNI) The Corporation Bank has registered over Rs 52,000 crore of business as on December 31 last year, its Assistant General Manager B Lakshminarayana has said.

Addressing a customer meet here yesterday, Mr Lakshminarayana said 86 per cent of the bank's business in now transacted using the core banking solutions, benefitting customers immensely.

He claimed the bank had attained several milestones during its existence. It took competition head on the meet the challenges of liberalisation and emerged as one of most successful institutions in the banking industry.

A survey showed Corporation Bank was the number one among public sector banks.The sound principles on which operated earned the bank many accolades in India and abroad, the official claimed.
