SCR to run 18 special trains for Shivarathri festival
Vijayawada, Feb 22 (UNI) The South Central Railway (SCR) will run 18 special trains between Kakinada and Kottipalli for three days from February 25, to clear the extra rush of passengers in view of the 'Shivarathri' festival.
SCR, in a release here today said the special train will leave Kakinada town at 1030 hrs and arrive Kotipalli at 1230 hrs. Leaving Kotipalli at 1300 hrs, the train will arrive Kakinada town at 1500 hrs.
The second special train will depart Kakinada town at 1530 hrs and arrive Kotipalli at 1730 hrs. In the return direction, the train will leave Kotipalli at 1800 hrs and arrive Kakinada town at 2000 hrs. The third train will depart Kakinada town at 2030 hrs, arrive Kotipalli at 2230 hrs. It will leave Kotipalli at 2300 hrs and arrive Kakinada town at 0100 hrs on February 26.
On February 26, the first special train will depart Kakinada town at 0400 hrs and arrive Kotipalli at 0600 hrs. In the return direction, the train will depart Kotipalli at 0630 hrs and arrive Kakinada town at 0830 hrs. The next special will leave Kakinada town at 0930 hrs and arrive Kotipalli at 1130 hrs. Leaving Kotipalli at 1200 hrs, the train will reach Kakinada town at 1400 hrs. The third special train will depart Kakinada town at 1500 hrs and reach Kotipalli at 1700 hrs. In the return direction, it will depart Kotipalli at 1800 hrs and arrive Kakinada town at 2000 hrs. The fourth special train will depart Kakinada town at 2030 hrs, arrive Kotipalli at 2230 hrs. The train on its return journey will leave Kotipalli at 2300 hrs and arrive Kakinada town at 0100 hrs on February 27.
On the same day, a special train will depart Kakinada town at 0400 hrs and arrive Kotipalli at 0600 hrs. In the return direction the train will leave Kotipalli at 0630 hrs and reach Kakinada town at 0830 hrs. The second special train will depart Kakinada town at 0930 hrs and arrive Kotipalli at 1130 hrs. Leaving Kotipalli at 1200 hrs, the train will reach Kakinada town at 1400 hrs, the release added.
