MLAs to be informed about cases against them

Bhopal, Feb 23 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today announced in the state Assembly that MLAs and other people's representatives would be informed about cases registered against them.

The Chief Minister gave this assurance while intervening during discussion on pending cases against legislators.

The government will ensure the security of people's representatives, he said.

Responding to Congress member Rajesh Patel, who raised the issue of cases registered against the legislators during the BJP rule, Minister of State for Home Nagendra Singh said 'challans' in eight cases had been put up in courts, while investigation was in progress in six cases and an equal number of cases had been struck off.
