Local court lives former Union Minister 6 month term

Adilabad, Andhra Pradesh, Feb 22 (UNI) A local court today sentenced former Union Minister and senior Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Venugopala Chary to six months' imprisonment and imposed.

a fine of Rs 500 in a case relating to an attack on police official.

A case was registered against the former minister on March 5, 1999, that he assaulted Head Constable Harichadrudu.

Referring to the judgement, Mr Chary told reporters here that he would approach the High Court.
