Global Hospitals to set up hospital at New Town

Kolkata, Feb 24 (UNI) Hyderabad based Global Hospitals will set up an organ transplant hospital in New Town, Rajarhat, with Rs 175 crore investment.

The 750-bed hospital will also have an organ transplant training institute, hotel, malls and guest houses under one roof, Global Hospitals Managing Director Dr K.Ravindranath told reporters.

Already five acre of land had been allotted by the government for setting up the hospital, he said adding construction would begin from July this year.

Global Hospitals has also plans to set up hospitals at Bangalore, Delhi and Mumbai.

Mr Ravindranath today started a telemedicine-cum-information centre for Kolkata. The centre enables patients from here to access Global Hospitals experts over phone and in- person.
