Flying CATS launch in April with fashion show on aircraft

Chandigarh, Feb 22 (UNI) Imagine a fashion show 35,000 feet above the ground. This is exactly what the 'Flying CATS' are going to do at its mega launch in mid-April this year.

Top models of the country will display dresses designed for students of 'Flying CATS' by top Bollywood designer Ashley Rebello at this mega show which will be organised for the media and socialites of Mumbai in an aircraft.

The launch will announce the arrival of south-east Asia's number one airhostess training school-'Flying CATS' (Cosmo Airhostess Training School) in the country.'Flying CATS', is being promoted by the National Institute of Fashion Design (NIFD).

The mega show will also announce the launch of 'Flying CATS' in 20 cities of India in the first phase, Ms Priyanka Khosla, Managing Director of the Flying CATS said while talking to media persons here yesterday. Ms Khosla is a leading fashion choreographer.

These cities are Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Pune, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Goa, Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Baroda, Surat, Bangalore and Indore. The Corporate base of the organisation will be at Chandigarh. Mumbai and Delhi will have two training centres each.

Top celebrities from different walks of life have joined hands with the stalwarts of the the aviation and hospitality industry to train the students of 'Flying CATS' into smarter Indians, she added.

Sabrina Merchant has been roped in to design the syllabus for speech diction and personal finesse for Flying CATS students. Others who are likely to assist the training school are model Malaika Arora Khan, Amrita Thapar (Femina Miss India-2005) and Ivan Silveria a former chief trainer of Air India who will be the technical head. A number of former crew members of leading international airliners are also expected to join the venture.
