Asha Patil selected for Jeevangaurav award

Kolhapur, Jan 29 (UNI) Marathi films veteran actress Asha Patil has been selected for the 'Jeevangaurav' award instituted by the Jivhala Trust, formed by the Marathi film artists.

Informing this to reporters here last night, Trust Secretary and actor Mohan Joshi said that the newly formed Jivhala Trust has instituted the award from this year to felicitate a Marathi film actor or actress and a technician every year for their outstanding contribution and service to the Marathi film industry.

The award, comprising Rs one lakh cash, shawl and shriphal, will be presented to Ms Patil at the film artists 'Kalarajani' - an entertainment programme - to be held here tomorrow to collect funds for the welfare of the Marathi film industry and its technicians, Mr Joshi added.
