Mumbai Local Train Update: No Monthly Pass Booking on UTS App Anymore, RailOne Takes Over

Monthly pass booking removed from UTS app
Passengers can no longer generate new monthly passes on the UTS app. However, those with already valid passes can continue to display them on UTS when asked by ticket-checking staff.
The UTS app now shows a message asking users to switch to RailOne for pass-related services. Booking of unreserved tickets will continue to remain operational on UTS.
Digital ticket discount announced on RailOne app
To promote cashless transactions, Indian Railways has announced a 3 per cent discount on unreserved ticket purchases made through the RailOne app using any digital payment mode. The offer will be valid for six months, from January 14, 2026 to July 14, 2026.
Earlier, passengers received a 3 per cent cashback only when payments were made via the R-wallet. Under the revised system, the discount will apply directly to payments made using UPI, debit cards, credit cards and other digital methods.
The decision was communicated to Centre for Railway Information Systems through a letter dated December 30, with instructions for immediate software implementation.
How to book a monthly pass using the RailOne app
Passengers can follow these steps to book a monthly pass on RailOne:
1. Open the UTS app and tap on the prompt directing users to RailOne
2. Download the RailOne app from the Play Store or App Store
3. Enter the required personal and identity details
4. Log in to the app using registered credentials
5. Select the monthly pass option and complete the booking process
Alternatively, passengers can also purchase monthly passes offline at Passenger Reservation System counters available at railway stations.
Services available on the RailOne app
The RailOne app brings multiple railway services together on a single platform. These include monthly pass booking, reserved and unreserved ticket booking, refunds, food ordering, train search and PNR status tracking.
