Libya: NASA images show fire in oil tanks after IS shelling
Tripoli, Jan 13: Shelling by Islamic State group in Libya has started a fire that has spread to other storage tanks nearby. Reports suugest that about five sotrage tanks were on fire in Sidra.
Meanwhile, images captured by NASA show smoke plummeting out of the tanks forming a black cloud.
European space Agency's special multispectal imager shows a closer view of the tanks where the fire was raging.
Each tank is supposed to have 420,000 to 460,000 barrels of oil.

Islamic State has been operating in Libya for a year, and France had warned Libya that the terrorist group was aiming to gain control of the oil wells.
