Stampede Shocker: Ram Gopal Varma creates controversy, defends Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu
Hyderabad, July 19: A month after stern criticism, Bollywood director Ram Gopal Varma confused everyone defending Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu over stampede controversy.
Varma recently wrote on Twitter, "For Pushkara deaths, how come everybody blames the poor CB Naidu and nobody blames God?"

The Bollywood director, who always creates controversies with his statements, also added, "Why didn't God stop those poor devotees from being killed in pushkaras.. is it because they prayed lesser than other devotees?"
Varma's statement surfaced just days after stampede on the banks of River Godavari that claimed 27 lives. The incident brought immense criticism for the chief minister.
However, the director shocked many people as he earlier had criticised Naidu. Speaking about infamous cash-for-votes scam, Varma said, "Am embarrassed as Andhra citizen with CB Naidu for making a national embarrassment of Andhra people and I bow down to Kcr's straight forwardness (sic)".
Now, sudden change in Varma's attitude towards Naidu shocked everyone.
