Happy New Year 2026 Gift: IGL Cuts PNG Prices In Delhi-NCR

Households using piped gas across Delhi-NCR are set to spend a little less on cooking fuel, as Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) reduces domestic Piped Natural Gas prices by Rs 0.70 per Standard Cubic Meter from 1 January 2026, covering all residential PNG consumers.

The new PNG tariff in Delhi stands at Rs 47.89 per SCM, while Gurugram residents pay Rs 46.70 per SCM. Users in Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad are billed Rs 47.76 per SCM. IGL states that this revision aims to ease monthly fuel expenses for urban homes.

PNG price cut Delhi-NCR: old and new rates compared

Before the latest change, Delhi consumers paid Rs 48.59 per SCM, with Gurugram at Rs 47.40 per SCM. Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad earlier faced a rate of Rs 48.46 per SCM. The reduction is expected to support families planning year-end budgets and managing rising household costs.

IGL highlights that the PNG price cut strengthens its focus on cleaner fuels across the capital region as it heads into 2026. The company expects lakhs of residential users, who rely on PNG for regular cooking, to gain steady savings through lower gas bills over the coming months.

PNG price cut Delhi-NCR and upcoming LPG revision

Alongside the PNG change, state-run oil and gas companies plan to issue updated LPG cylinder prices on 1 January 2026. New rates for the 14.2-kilogram domestic LPG cylinder, as well as fresh commercial LPG tariffs, are scheduled, and many consumers are hoping for some parallel relief.
