Andhra Accident: 10 killed in Markapuram After Tipper-Bus Collision

At least ten passengers were killed and several others injured in a devastating road accident in Markapuram district on Thursday morning when a private bus collided with a tipper truck near Rayavaram. The collision, which occurred between 6 and 6:30 am, sparked a massive fire that engulfed both vehicles within minutes.

The bus, operated by a private travel company, was on its way from Hyderabad to Pamuru and had just reached a quarry stretch when the accident took place. Preliminary reports suggest that the tipper, moving at high speed, rammed into the bus as it attempted a turn.
