Rs 500, 1,000 declared invalid- Sri Sri says stay calm
Sri Sri in his statement appealed to the people to remain calm and said the decision has come as relief to those fighting corruption
The founder of Art of Living Sri Sri Ravishankar on Wednesday welcomed the Modi government's move to demonitize Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes. In a statement released to the media, Sri Sri said, "Demonetising of high value currency is good for the country. It will curb corruption, black money and terrorism".

Government's move to ban Rs 500 and Rs 1000 has been applauded by many businessmen, politicians, economists and common citizens alike while some others have chosen to remain skeptical. Sri Sri in his statement appealed to the people to remain calm and said the decision has come as relief to those fighting corruption. "This move from the government will only impact those who have hoarded money illegally. The government is taking all efforts to see that the common man is not inconvenienced. In fact, this decision has brought a sigh of relief for all of us who have been fighting corruption all these years".

Even as reports of common citizenry being affected by Rs 500 and Rs 1000 going out of transaction, the spiritual guru said that no hard earned money will be lost and congratulated the Prime Minister for this economic reform, "I congratulate the PM for taking this bold move and ushering in Artha Kranti", he said
