Nation bids final adieu to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam

Dr APJ Abdul Kalam's last rites will be held today in his hometown Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu. The funeral is expected to begin at 11 a.m., and Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other dignitaries are likely to attend. Dr Kalam, passed away on Monday in Shillong after suffering a massive cardiac arrest while delivering a lecture to students at the Indian Institute of Management. The government has declared national mourning for seven days.
