Yemen crisis unites the world: Pakistan helps Indians, India helps US, France, Germany citizens
New Delhi, April 7: While India has been supporting US, France, Germany, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka to evacuate its citizens from crisis-hit Yemen, the country received an unexpected support from neighbouring country Pakistan.
11 Indians, who were evacuated by Pakistan, finally got a chance to return home. India on Tuesday, April 7 accepted Pakistan's offer to fly home 11 Indians evacuated from war-torn Yemen by a Pakistani naval ship. [Yemen crisis: Number of Indian evacuees reach 4,000 mark]
The Pakistani naval ship had helped these Indians who were rescued along with a group of Pakistanis. The Indians are currently in Karachi.
Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday, April 7 offered a special plane to transport these Indians home. [Yemen rescue operation: Why India is better than the rest]
Writing on micro-blogging site Twitter, Abdul Basit, the Pakistan High Commissioner, tweeted, "India has accepted Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's offer of a special plane to fly 11 Indian nationals to India with gratitude."

Meanwhile, the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affair (MEA), Syed Akbaruddin tweeted, "India accepts Pakistan's offer to fly back from Karachi by special plane 11 Indians evacuated by Pakistani naval ship from Yemen."
He also added, "232 persons from 26 countries evacuated by India from Yemen. Efforts continuing."
